Scholarship Application
Applicants for scholarship must complete either the online scholarship application form or the downloadable form, and the written requirements listed below.

All applicants must also submit the following documents to be considered as a candidate for a Mayapur Academy Excellence Scholarship.
Scholarship Essays
- In approximately one hundred and fifty (150) words describe how you best see yourself participating in the activities of ISKCON for the next five years.
- In approximately three hundred (300) words please describe:
- Three (3) personal attributes which will help you to succeed in Mayapur Academy.
- Also, describe three (3) long range goals and how the training offered by Mayapur Academy will assist you in reaching those goals.
- In approximately three hundred (300) words please describe:
- The importance of deity worship in an ISKCON community (150 words)
- The role of brahmana in ISKCON today (150 words)
References
Please provide three (3) written, personal character references from senior ISKCON devotees. (E.g. your local GBC, regional secretary, temple president, namahatta leader, etc.)
First initiates require a letter from both their spiritual master and temple president, stating
they will receive gayatri diksa within the next twelve (12) months.
The contact details (email address preferred) of the persons providing references as well as how long they have known the applicant must be included with the reference.
Financial Statements
The Mayapur Academy Excellence Scholarship is a needs based scholarship and is
limited to devotees demonstrating financial need.
Requirements:
- Financial statement from applicant.
- Letter from the local temple explaining why they cannot cover the cost of tuition and devotee maintenance.
Document Format
Each essay must be saved as a separate file. Either as a word document (*.doc), rtf or text format, or type written on separate sheets of paper.
Hand-written essays will not be accepted
